Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he would vote to scrap the VAR system in the Premier League.
According to rumors, Liverpool and Manchester United will be among the clubs that are going to vote in June to keep VAR in the Premier League.
However, Klopp, who is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, has his own opinion on this matter. Since it is not possible to recruit new people to the refereeing corps, Jurgen would have removed VAR from the Premier League.
“I don’t think they’re voting against VAR. I think they’re voting against how VAR is used because there’s definitely no order to it. Given the way it is being used, I would vote against it because these people are not able to use it properly.”
“I don’t think the problem is with VAR. The problem is how they use it. Of course, people cannot be changed, that’s clear, so I would vote to abandon VAR,” Klopp was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
