Хосеп Гвардиола Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola has said that Manchester United and Chelsea would compete with his team and Arsenal for the Premier League title if success depended only on money.

At the moment, City are just two wins away from the unprecedented achievement of four Premier League titles in a row. Also, the “citizens” can become the first club to win the English championship and the FA Cup two seasons in a row.

Guardiola does not feel at all that City’s successes are boring, and Josep categorically rejects accusations that his club literally bought trophies.

“It’s not boring. It’s difficult.”

“They say it’s about money. For this reason, Manchester United should have won all the titles, Chelsea should have won all the titles, Arsenal should have won all the titles. They’ve spent as much money as we have in the last five years. They should be here. But they are not here.”

“For the same reason, Girona should not get into the Champions League (for next season), and Leicester should not have won the Premier League.”

“At the beginning of the season, we didn’t think about a fourth title in a row. But February, March, April came, and we were still in the race. And it ignited something in our heads.”

“No team has done this yet, which shows how difficult it is. Liverpool in the 80s, United of Sir Alex Ferguson in the 90s, Chelsea with Abramovich and Jose (Mourinho), Arsenal with Wenger did not do this,” Guardiola quotes the BBC.
