Расмус Хейлунд A number of Manchester United players doubt Rasmus Heilund and refuse to pass on the Danish striker in matches.

When United failed to get Harry Kane last summer, Red Devils head coach Eric Ten Haag insisted on buying Heilund from Atalanta for 72 million pounds.

The 21-year-old Heilund enjoys the unconditional trust of Ten Haga, but not of his teammates, having scored only one goal in 10 matches since returning from injury in March.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United’s partners are looking for “alternative options in the far third of the field” because of how weak Heilund plays on the edge. This has been especially felt in recent weeks.

For example, in the match lost to Arsenal last Sunday (0:1), Heilund made only 15 touches of the ball. There were 26 against Crystal Palace, but only 11 and 17 against Burnley and Sheffield United, respectively.

Heilund has scored only one goal since February, and the last time he played an entire match on the field was on April 21, when United defeated Coventry in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Let’s add that United have scored only one goal in their last three matches, scoring one point out of nine possible ones.
