Андони Ираола Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has signed a new contract with his club.

Having taken charge of Bournemouth last summer, Iraola did not make a very convincing start to his career in a new place. In the first months of the season, the press speculated about the possible dismissal of Andoni.

However, the Bournemouth bosses retained faith in the 41-year-old Spaniard, for which they were rewarded with a significant improvement in results in the second half of the season.

Bournemouth still have one more match to play before the end of the season, but the Cherries have already set a club record for the most points in a Premier League season.

Iraola’s previous contract expired in the summer of 2025, but now the future of the former Rayo Vallecano coach is linked with Bournemouth until the end of the 2025/26 season.

“I am very happy to sign this contract. In my opinion, it’s just a way to build confidence on both sides.”

“It was a good experience in our first season together in the Premier League and I am glad that both sides want to continue this relationship.”

“I’m proud that we set a record for points. We are playing in a difficult competition, where we have very good opponents. The season started slowly, but I think we have improved significantly and are playing the right way,” Iraola said.
