Manchester City can get about 40 million pounds for right-back Jan Couto, who has not played a match for the club with Etihad.
Couto joined City in the summer of 2020, rejecting Barcelona’s interest for the sake of the citizens. Since then, Jan has been roaming the leases.
Couto is currently playing his second consecutive season for Girona, which has been competing with Real Madrid for the La Liga title for a long time this season and is now one step away from reaching the Champions League for the first time in its history.
Couto has scored two goals and provided 10 assists this season, attracting the interest of a number of European clubs, including representatives of the Premier League, as well as Bayer and Juventus.
City can hardly promise Couto regular playing practice, so the sale of the 21-year-old Brazilian looks the most likely scenario.
And talkSPORT claims that City are going to ask for about 40 million pounds for Couto — for the same money, former junior of the “citizens” Pedro Porro changed Sporting to Tottenham last summer.
