Sporting’s head coach Ruben Amorim has reacted to rumors linking him with a move to Chelsea.
Apparently, Amorim will not get a job at Liverpool or West Ham, but the 39-year-old Portuguese continues to be wooed at Chelsea to replace Mauricio Pochettino.
Recently, there were rumors that Amorim’s recent visit to London could be connected with Chelsea’s interest, but Amorim does not want to reveal this secret.
“Everything that needed to be said has already been said. You’ve already come up with your theories. I don’t have any problems with that. Stay with your ideas. I’m not going to say why I went to London.”
“I have already told the people who need to know, especially (Sporting’s sports director) Uh-huh Viana. This is a completed stage. I saw that Alvaro (Pacheco, coach of Vitoria) I also recently ran into problems having dinner in the wrong place! I think it’s fashionable to talk about coaches or clubs firing coaches. The next day you choose a new target for yourself.”
“I’m trying to be honest with you, but then you make soap operas claiming that I’m offering myself to other clubs. Actually, it’s funny to see,” Amorim was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
