West Ham technical director Tim Steidten was denied access to the first-team dressing room at the club’s training base and the London Stadium.
Steidten only started working at West Ham last summer, and throughout that time his relationship with head coach David Moyes has been difficult.
Moyes is now nearing the end of his contract, and it is Steidten who is responsible for finding a possible replacement for David, having already held talks with Ruben Amorim and Julen Lopetegui.
In such a delicate period, in order not to aggravate the situation, the club asked Steidten to stay away from the first-team areas on match days and training days, The Telegraph reports.
The source adds that inside West Ham there is a sense of the imminent departure of Moyes, who returned to the club in December 2019 and won the Conference League last season.
