Former Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho has issued a verdict on Sporting coach Ruben Amorim.
In previous weeks, Amorim was actively wooed to Liverpool and West Ham. Ruben even flew to London for negotiations, then calling this trip a mistake.
According to rumors, the 39-year-old Portuguese is still on Chelsea’s radar, and Mourinho is convinced that his compatriot is ready to work at the top level.
“This is a question that I shouldn’t answer, but what can I tell you? I like him as a person, I like him as a coach.”
“I think he’s capable of coaching in any league, he’s capable of coaching any club. But he’s already in a good league, at a great club.”
“It will be his decision — or not. It depends on the clubs who want him or don’t want him, on their arguments. All that is clear to me is that I like him as a person and as a coach,” Mourinho was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
