Newcastle decided to compete with Liverpool, Tottenham, and West Ham in the fight for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
Last week it became known that Adarabioyo informed Fulham of his decision to leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season, despite the fact that he was offered a new contract that would make Tosin one of the highest-paid players of the Marc Silva team.
According to the Evening Standard, Adarabioyo is interesting to several Premier League clubs, but Newcastle have already begun negotiations with Tosin’s entourage and at the moment can be considered the favorite in the fight for the 26-year-old Englishman.
After severe injuries to Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles, strengthening the center of defense has become a priority for Newcastle, and the difficult situation with compliance with the rules of financial fair play forces the Magpies to focus on players available at a reduced price or for free.
In addition to Adarabioyo, Newcastle have Lloyd Kelly on their radar, whose contract with Bournemouth also expires at the end of the season.
