His vast experience and knowledge of the game will be invaluable to the club as it looks to build on its recent successes. After retiring from playing in 2004, Zola embarked on a successful managerial career, guiding West Ham United to the Premier League and Cagliari to the Coppa Italia. He has also worked as an assistant manager for the Italian national team and in various other roles within the football industry. “I am thrilled to be back at Chelsea in this new capacity,” said Zola. “The club holds a special place in my heart, and I am eager to contribute to its future success.
