Юрген Клопп Jurgen Klopp addressed his players for the last time as Liverpool’s head coach, professing his love for his team.

The day before, Klopp’s nine-year era at Liverpool ended. It was an extremely emotional moment for everyone who attended Anfield.

After the 2-0 win over Wolverhampton, Klopp made a speech in the dressing room, praising the players for winning third place in the Premier League and expressing confidence about Liverpool’s prospects under the new head coach.

“I love you. I can’t wait to watch you, your development, your next steps…”

“We were the only ones who stopped Manchester City (in the 2019/20 season) and you can do it again.”

“There may be people who will say that third place is not enough. And I’ll tell you that they don’t understand anything about football.”

“Could we have performed better at times? Yes, of course, it is always possible. But did we perform better than we would normally expect? Oh, yes, because it takes more time to become a top-level team again.”

“To take third place in my first season with Liverpool 2.0 is an achievement. And now you will have an influx of new energy from the outside, new sources of influence, new momentum, and it’s good to try to squeeze everything out of your career.”

“I love you. It was an absolutely outstanding adventure, thank you for that. I am so proud of you, I am so proud that I was allowed to be a part of this, thank you very much. And there is no limit for you guys,” Klopp was quoted as saying by The Independent.
