Ноттингем Форест Nottingham Forest’s appeal to have four points deducted from the club for violating the Premier League’s financial fair play rules has been rejected.

Recall that Forest exceeded the established loss limit of 61 million pounds over a three-year period by 34.5 million pounds. For the Foresters, the standard for the Premier League of 105 million pounds was lowered, because the club spent part of the period in the Championship.

In March, the independent commission of the Premier League found Forest’s guilt proven and removed four points from the Foresters.

The club from the City Ground did not agree with the severity of the punishment and exercised its right to appeal, for which the Premier League created a new commission.

However, the new commission rejected Forest’s protest and upheld the decision to withdraw four points, the BBC reports.

This means that Nuno Espirito Santo’s team remains in 17th position in the table, three points above the relegation zone.
