With just seconds remaining, Stafford found Kupp in the end zone for the game-winning touchdown. Kupp finished the game with an astonishing 12 catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Stafford was equally impressive, passing for 391 yards and three touchdowns. The Rams’ victory was a major upset, as the 49ers had been favored by seven points entering the game. It also snapped a two-game losing streak for the Rams and put them back in contention for the NFC West title. For the 49ers, the loss was a significant setback in their pursuit of a Super Bowl berth. Garoppolo threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns, but he also threw an interception that proved costly. The Rams will now travel to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week, while the 49ers will host the Chicago Bears.
