Stafford was equally impressive, passing for 391 yards and three touchdowns. The Rams’ victory was a major upset, as the 49ers had been favored by seven points entering the game. It also snapped a two-game losing streak for the Rams and put them back in contention for the NFC West title. For the 49ers, the loss was a significant setback in their pursuit of a Super Bowl berth. Garoppolo threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns, but he also threw an interception that proved costly.
