Mikhail Lomtadze, a billionaire from Kazakhstan, has become the new owner of Wycombe from League One.
According to the BBC, Lomtadze’s company Blue Ocean Partners Ltd acquired 90% of the shares of the club, which finished this season in 10th place in the third English division.
Since February 2020, Wycombe has been owned by American businessman Rob Quigg, who will remain president for a transitional period. It also announced the appointment of Dan Rice, the executive director of football, who has worked at various Premier League clubs.
Earlier this year, Lomtadze took 581st place in the Forbes billionaires ranking with a fortune of 4.5 billion pounds. Mikhail is the co-founder of the company Kaspi.kz .
