Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed why he stopped visiting Stamford Bridge.
Earlier in his career, Mourinho spent two spells at Chelsea, winning three Premier League titles, the FA Cup and three League Cups.
During this season, amid Chelsea’s difficulties under Mauricio Pochettino, the media started talking about Mourinho’s third coming, and this forced Jose to distance himself from his former club so as not to aggravate the situation.
“I always refrain from any unethical behavior. In London, I live two minutes from Chelsea Stadium, you can hear goals and demonstrations from my house.”
“The day the stadium started singing my name, I stopped going to football. I have to visit other stadiums.”
“It’s only 20-30 minutes from my other stadium to Da Luz (Benfica stadium). I went to two or three matches, and they started asking questions about whether I would become their coach. I don’t go anymore.”
“They ruined my life with these questions,” Mourinho told A Bola.
