Brighton head coach Roberto De Derbi has said he wants to stay at his club for next season.
In previous months, De Jerby has been wooed by various top clubs in the Premier League and Europe, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
However, over time, these rumors faded away — including against the background of poor results from Brighton in the second half of the season.
And now De Derby himself has stated that he does not want to leave Brighton. Roberto hopes to close the issue with his future soon by talking to the owner of the Seagulls, Tony Bloom.
“I would like to stay at Brighton because I love my players, I love this city, I love my club and my fans.”
“Even at the meeting with the fans, I said that no club would force me to change the team if I was happy here.”
“I need to find a balance between my heart and my head. Part of me is following my heart, while the other part wants to calmly analyze the situation,” De Jerby told Sky Sports.
