An unnamed Chelsea director has entered into talks with former Blues head coach Antonio Conte.
Only recently, rumors appeared in the Italian press that Conte, through an intermediary, offered his services to Chelsea, which he coached from 2016 to 2018.
As La Repubblica is now reporting, the high-ranking Chelsea manager is in contact with Conte and his representatives about Antonio’s arrival in place of Mauricio Pochettino next summer.
It is claimed that Conte has been submitted for consideration a “large investment project” that guarantees Antonio the funds to create a trophy-focused team.
Conte has been out of work since his dismissal from Tottenham in March 2023. In previous weeks, the 54-year-old Italian was linked with jobs at Milan and Napoli.
